
Cinnamon Twists

Ingredients

Flour
-
Pastry dough
-
Butter
-
Cinnamon
-
Sugar
-
Baking spray
Instruction​

Sprinkle flour over a cutting board or counter surface

Roll out pastry dough to 1/4 inch thickness

Brush melted butter over the top

Line a baking tray with greased parchment paper

In a bowl, mix together a 1:4 ratio of cinnamon and sugar

Sprinkle the sugar mixture onto the pastry and press it into the dough

Flip the dough over, brush butter on the new side, and sprinkle the sugar on the new side

Cut the dough into 1 inch thick strips
-
Stack the strips up in layers of 2 and twist together loosely

Arrange on the tray and refrigerate for 20 minutes to solidify
-
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees

Bake for 15-18 minutes
-
Place on a metal rack to cool and dust with a bit more sugar

Since you are layering two strips together, you can add a filling between them such as:
