Perfect Omelette

Perfect Omlette

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs

  • A splash of milk

  • Salt & pepper

  • Garlic powder

  • Olive oil

  • White onion

  • Breakfast sausage

  • Minced garlic

  • Mushrooms

  • Chili flakes

  • Spinach

  • Gouda cheese

  • 1 avocado

Instruction​

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together:

    • 3 large eggs

    • a splash of milk

    • salt and pepper

    • garlic powder

  • Heat a pan on medium-high heat and add olive oil

  • Saute the following:

    • white onions

    • breakfast sausage

    • minced garlic

    • mushrooms

    • season with salt, pepper, and chili flakes

  • Once cooked down, toss in fresh spinach

  • Once wilted, remove everything from the pan and set aside

  • Reduce heat to low and spray the pan with cooking oil

  • Pour in egg mixture and tap the pan against the griddle to create an even layer and remove bubbles

  • Use a rubber spatula to mold the edges into a tighter circle

  • Cover with a lid for 2-3 minutes

    Egg should be cooked on the outside, but still wet inside

  • Remove lid and add the sausage and vegetable mixture to one half of the omelette

  • Add shredded Gouda cheese

  • Tilt the pan at an angle and use the spatula to fold it in half

  • Turn off the heat and put the lid back on for another minute to melt the cheese

  • Plate the omelette and top with sliced avocado
