Poached Fish

Ingredients

  • Any fish

  • Garlic

  • Lemon

  • Bay leaves

  • Salt and pepper

  • Parsley

Instruction​

  • In a deep pan, fill half way with water and bring to a boil

  • Reduce heat to steam

  • Add to the water:

    • whole garlic cloves

    • circle lemon slices

    • bay leaves

    • salt and pepper (season very generously)

  • Add the fish to the pan skin side down and put on the lid

  • It's done when it's done. Depends on the fish. Figure it out.

  • Serve topped with:

    • lemon zest

    • fresh parsley
