  • White onion

  • Garlic

  • Breadcrumbs

  • Parmesan

  • 1 egg

  • Dijon

  • Olive oil

  • Rosemary

  • Oregano

  • Pepper flakes

  • 1/2 pound ground pork

  • 1/2 pound ground beef

Instruction

  • In a large mixing bowl, add

    • chopped white onions

    • chopped garlic

    • bread crumbs

    • grated Parmesan cheese

    • one egg

    • Dijon mustard

    • A drizzle of olive oil

  • Season with:

    • Salt and pepper

    • Rosemary

    • Oregano

    • pepper flakes

  • Mix everything together, then add 1/2 pound of ground pork and 1/2 pound of ground beef

  • Refrigerate the mixture for 30 minutes to solidify the ingredients

  • Fill a small bowl with water and dip your fingers into it

  • The water will help keep the meat from sticking to your hands

  • Form small-medium balls of meat

  • If you are freezing these, add them onto a sheet pan covered in parchment paper and freeze them on the tray

  • Once frozen, pop the meatballs off the tray and put them in a freezer bag (This is how you prevent them from all sticking together in a clump when they freeze)

  • To cook these meatballs:

    • Fry them in olive oil until they are mostly cooked, then you can set them aside to make your sauce and add the meatballs back in to finish cooking with the sauce

    • Alternatively, bake the meatballs in the oven at 400 degrees for 20-30 minutes, turning once halfway through(Baking is the best option when cooking after they've been frozen)
